BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech men's and women's swimming and diving teams will take to the road this weekend as the Hokies are set to face Penn State and Ohio State in a tri-meet in University Park, Pennsylvania.

HOKIE MEN
- Virginia Tech opened the season last weekend against George Washington.
- The Hokies won 13 of the events, defeating the Colonials 203-87.
- Tech also took first, second and third in seven of the events including: 200 fly, 50 free, 200 breast, 500 free, 100 fly, 1-meter and 3-meter.
- Juniors Lane Stone and Thomas Hallock paced Tech in the pool with two wins each.
- Stone claimed the top spots in both the 200 free and 500 free.
- Hallock secured both sprints, the 50 and 100 free.
- Freshman AJ Pouch won his first collegiate event with the top finish in the 200 breaststroke.
- Sophomore Noah Zawadzki swept diving with wins in the 1-meter and 3-meter. His performance earned him ACC Diver of the Week honors.
- Zawadzki's score of 375.68 on the 1-meter moved him into fifth on Tech's all-time list.
HOKIE WOMEN
- Virginia Tech opened the season last weekend against George Washington.

- In addition, Tech had the top-3 finishes in seven events, including: 100 back, 100 breast, 100 free, 200 back, 500 free, 1-meter and 3-meter.
- Senior Margarita Ryan claimed two wins to pace the Hokies on the swimming side. She took first in the 100 and 200 backstroke.
- Freshmen Rose Pouch and Karisa Franz picked up their first collegiate wins.
- Pouch won the 200 freestyle. She also had the top time in the women's 200 IM, but the Hokies exhibitioned the event.
- Franz was the top finisher in the 100 butterfly.
- Sophomore Teagan Moravek swept diving with wins in the 1-meter and 3-meter.
- Moravek's score of 317.40 in the 1-meter event placed her fourth on Tech's all-time list.
UP NEXT: The Hokies will be back at home next weekend to host Queens (M&W) and Richmond (W) in a meet at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center on Friday, Nov. 8 at 4 p.m.
