Tech set to host 2019 ITA Women's Atlantic Region Championships

BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech women's tennis team will host the ITA Regional Championships this weekend, beginning on Friday, October 25 at 9 a.m., and concluding on Tuesday, October 29.

THE HOKIES
Tech will field six student-athletes this weekend. Senior Shene Disbergen and sophomores Annie Clark and Rita Pinto will compete in the singles qualifying round. Senior Natalie Novotna, a #4 seed, and juniors Nina Sorkin and Nika Kozar will begin play on Saturday in the round of 64. In doubles, Novotna and Pinto will team up as the #1 seed in the doubles bracket. Clark and Disbergen will also begin their doubles quest on Friday.  

THE FIELD
Athletes from Delaware, Navy, Richmond, Liberty, Radford, Maryland, Duquesne, West Virginia, William & Mary, Penn State, George Washington, JMU, Longwood, Marshall, St. Joseph's, Virginia, ECU, Mt. St. Mary's, Virginia Tech, Temple, VCU, George Mason, ODU, and Towson will all be competing this weekend.
