Hokies host Longwood Tuesday night in break from ACC play


BLACKSBURG- Four days after claiming their first ACC result of the season, the Virginia Tech men's soccer team will face off against the Longwood Lancers at Thompson Field on Tuesday, October 22nd in a break from ACC play.

The Hokies hope to continue good form after beating Notre Dame 2-1 last Friday night at Thompson Field. 
 
Tech had it's struggles in the opening half, going down 0-1 to Notre Dame. Late into the second half, goals from Jon Ingason in the 61st minute and Jacob Labovitz in the 79th minute propelled the Hokies to victory. 
 
The Lancers (5-8)
Longwood has lost their last three matchups against USC Upstate, Winthrop, and High Point. The Lancers managed to record only one goal in those three matchups.
 
Mikel Abando leads the Lancers in scoring with 8 goals on the season, as well as points with 16.

The Hokies will resume ACC play as they return to Thompson Field for Senior Night on Friday, October 25th against Virginia. After facing the Cavaliers, Tech will hit the road to face off against Princeton on Tuesday, October 29th.
