Kozar, Disbergen tally wins on final day of UVA Fab 5

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia Tech women's tennis wrapped up the final day of UVA Fab 5 with a pair of singles wins in Charlottesville, Virginia.
 
Shene Disbergen rallied to defeat William & Mary's Charlotte Madson after falling in the first set 6-2. The Tech player came back to take the next two 6-3, 6-4.
 
Nika Kozar also came back to claim a win after falling to the Tribe's Raffaela Allach 6-4 in the opening set. Kozar responded to win the next two sets 6-4, 6-2.
 
The Hokies will be back on the court in two weeks, hosting the ITA Atlantic Region Championships.

Virginia Tech women's tennis wrapped up the second day of competition on Saturday at the UVA Fab 5 in Charlottesville, Virginia.
 
Junior Nika Kozar teamed up with freshman Lily Hackbirth for a win in doubles. The Hokie duo defeated William & Mary's Raffaela Alhach and Elisa van Meeteren, 6-4.
 
Virginia Tech will conclude the UVA Fab 5 event on Sunday.

Virginia Tech opened play at the UVA Fab Five on Friday in Charlottesville, Virginia where Shene Disbergen and Annie Clark paired up for a pair of wins.
 
The Hokies duo opened the day with a 6-3 win over William & Mary's Raffaela Alhac and Elise Van Meeteren.
 
In the second match of the day, Clark and Disbergen went to a tiebreak with Old Dominion's Shahar Biran and Alex Viktorovich. The Hokies rolled in the breaker to win it 7-6(0).
 
Virginia Tech will be back on the court Saturday for the second day of competition.
