BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech women's tennis team is set to open the fall slate Sept. 13-15 competing in the 2019 Bedford Cup in College Park, Md.
Competing for the Hokies will be sophomore Sammi Gillas along with newcomers Virginia Hobbs and Lily Hackbirth. Also competing in the tournament are athletes from VCU, Georgetown, Towson, Loyola, Maryland, Richmond and George Washington.
The tournament begins with two rounds of doubles followed by a flight of singles on Friday. There are four singles flights and two doubles flights.
