Final Round - Sunday
The Virginia Tech women's golf team posted a three-round total of 885 and finished in sixth place at the Bryan National Intercollegiate on Sunday afternoon. The three-day tournament was played at the par 72, 6,305-yard Champions Course at Bryan Park in Browns Summit, North Carolina.
Tech shot a 295 in Friday's first round and followed that with a 294 on Saturday. The Hokies shot an 8-over 296 in Sunday's final round.
Amanda Hollandsworth, a graduate student from Floyd, Virginia, led the Hokies this weekend. She finished in a tie for eighth place at 1-under 215, 11 strokes behind co-medalists Jennifer Kupcho and Emilia Migliaccio of Wake Forest.
Emily Mahar, a sophomore from Brisbane, Australia, tied for 18thplace at 219 and Keera Foocharoen, a freshman from Bangkok, Thailand, tied for 40that 226. Jessica Spicer, a junior from Bahama, North Carolina, tied for 49that 228 and Elizabeth Bose, a senior from Norfolk, Virginia, tied for 65that 230.
Host Wake Forest won the team title with a 34-under 830, 32 strokes ahead of North Carolina and 36 strokes ahead of NC State. Charlotte was fourth at 876 and Oregon State was fifth at 883, two strokes ahead of the Hokies. Ohio State was seventh at 887, East Carolina was eighth at 889, Virginia was ninth at 890 and Michigan was 10that 901. Idaho was 11that 903, Coastal Carolina was 12that 911, Kentucky was 13that 912, UNC Greensboro was 14that 918, Tulsa was 15that 924, Georgetown was 16th937 and Boston University was 17that 940.
The Hokies will be back on the road this weekend, as they travel to the Upstate of South Carolina to compete in the Clemson Invitational April 7-9 at the Reserve at Lake Keowee in Lake Keowee, South Carolina.
Round 2 - Saturday

She trails co-leaders Emilia Migliaccio and Jennifer Kupcho, both of Wake Forest, by six strokes. Hollandsworth's 68 featured five birdies and an eagle 3 on the par 5, 482-yard No. 3.
Emily Mahar, a sophomore from Brisbane, Australia, is in 14thplace at even-par 144 and Jessica Spicer, a junior from Bahama, North Carolina, is tied for 43rdat 151. Keera Foocharoen, a freshman from Bangkok, Thailand, is tied for 53rdat 153 and Elizabeth Bose, a senior from Norfolk, Virginia, is tied for 63rdat 155.
Host Wake Forest holds a commanding lead at 20-under 556, 16 strokes ahead of NC State and 19 strokes ahead of North Carolina. Charlotte is fourth at 579 and Virginia is fifth at 586, three strokes ahead of the Hokies. Oregon State is seventh at 593, Ohio State is eighth at 594, East Carolina is ninth at 598 and Idaho is 10that 599 to round out the top 10 in the 17-team event.
The Hokies will be grouped with Charlotte and Virginia again in the final round on Sunday morning. The field will tee off at 8:30 a.m. in a shotgun start.

Host Wake Forest has the team lead with a 14-under 274, 11 strokes ahead of NC State and 17 strokes ahead of North Carolina and Virginia. Charlotte is fifth at 292, three strokes ahead of the Hokies and four strokes up on Ohio State. Oregon State is eighth at 298, Michigan is ninth at 299, East Carolina and UNC Greensboro are tied for 10that 303 and Idaho and Kentucky are tied for 12that 305. Coastal Carolina is 14that 309, Tulsa is 15that 313, Georgetown is 16that 315 and Boston University is 17that 323.
The Hokies will be grouped with Charlotte and Virginia in the second round on Saturday morning. The group will tee off from the first tee beginning at 9:15 a.m.
