Hokies take on Pitt in Friday night matchup

BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech men's soccer team looks to get back in the win column and snap a two-game losing streak, when they step onto Thompson Field for a matchup with the Pittsburgh Panthers on Friday, October 12th at 7 pm.  The match will be broadcasted on ACC Network Extra.

The Panthers

  • Pittsburgh is coming off a 4-3 loss to Cleveland State
  • The Panthers are 2-3 in the ACC with wins over NC State and Clemson
  • Edward Kizza leads the Panthers with 11 goals so far this season, five of those goals he picked up in their last two games against Cleveland State and Clemson
  • Johan Penaranda has 27 saves on the season and a 1.26 goals against average
