Midweek men’s soccer report

BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech men's soccer team is enjoying an open date tonight as the Hokies rest and regroup, turning their attention to the Pittsburgh Panthers (6-6, 2-3). The two will square off on Friday, Oct. 12 at Thompson Field with kickoff slated for 7 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.

Last week the Hokies suffered two 2-1 losses, falling to South Carolina in double overtime after a curled goal from outside the box just found the inside of the post and settled into the net.
