LYNCHBURG, Va. – Members of the Virginia Tech men's tennis team wrapped up competition at the Liberty Invitational on Sunday in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Ryan Kros claimed a win in the whilte singles draw as he defeated Presbyterian's Jonathan Bedard in straight sets with scores of 6-2, 6-2.
In doubles, Chase Bernstine paired up with Radford's Michiel Meekers to win the back draw of the red flight. The duo held off George Washington's Maximillian Scholl and Millen Hurrion 7-5.
The Hokies will be on the court, beginning this week with the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma where Henrik Korsgaard, Alex Ribeiro, Carlo Donato and Jason Kros will compete in the qualifying singles. Mitch Harper will join the group for main draw singles. Harper, Donato, Ribeiro and Korsgaard are also set to compete in main draw doubles.

DAY TWO
LYNCHBURG, Va. – Virginia Tech's Evan Fragistas and Ryan Kros paired up to advance into the red draw doubles finals on Saturday at the Liberty Invitational in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Fragistas and Kros downed the host team's duo of Eddie Gutierrez and Josh Wilson 7-5 in the semifinals to advance to Sunday's finals. The Tech pair will face Charlotte's Leo Menezes and Sam Rice.
Chase Bernstine also had a win in doubles, pairing up with Radford's Michiel Meekers to defeat the Flames Nicaise Muamba and Ian Sturgill, 6-4.
In singles, Fragistas had two wins to move into the finals of the red back draw. He defeated George Washington's Breno Plentz 6-4, 6-4. He followed up with a win over his teammate Bernstine. The two Hokie players battled to three sets with Fragistas dropping the first 6-1. He rallied in the second to win in the tiebreak 7-6(4). In the final set, the Tech freshman secured it 6-4.
The Hokies will return to the court at noon on Sunday.

DAY ONE
LYNCHBURG, Va. – Sophomore Ryan Kros recorded first round wins in both singles and doubles during the opening day of the Liberty Invitational on Friday afternoon.
Kros took the court in the white draw of singles where he rolled past Radford's Will Crane, shutting out the Highlander's player 6-0, 6-0.
On the doubles side, Kros paired up with freshman Evan Fragistas in the red draw. The Tech duo faced Charlotte's Ben Wayand and Henry Lieberman in a battle that went to a tiebreak before the Hokies held on to win it 7-6(4).
The Hokies will be back on the court at 9 a.m. on Saturday in Lynchburg.
