ATHENS, Ga. – The Virginia Tech men's tennis team wrapped up competition at the 51st Annual Southern Intercollegiates on Sunday;
In the Division I draw, sophomore Carlo Donato fell in the quarterfinals as UCF's Mikhail Sokolovsky advanced with the 6-2, 6-2 win.
The Hokies claimed a pair of wins in the consolation matches. Jason Kros defeated Peter Conklin of Dartmouth 6-3, 6-3. Freshman Evan Fragistas had the 6-3, 6-2 win over Flavio Matteoli of Barry.
Tech will be back on the court Sept. 20-23 at the Oracle Masters and the UVA Masters.
