A junior college transfer, Emery started all 36 games she played during her junior season, leading the Hokies in scoring at 18.5 points per game. Emery earned Second Team All-ACC honors after a season where she shot 49 percent from the field, including 38 percent from 3-point range and 85 percent from the charity stripe.
In her first season at Tech, Emery already placed her name in the record book, setting the program record for points in a single season with 667.
Her 236 made field goals were also a record. In addition, she set the Virginia Tech record for points in a home ACC game when she scored 32 versus Virginia spearheading the comeback effort.
Emery and the Hokies concluded the season 23-14 as the WNIT runners-up after the most successful postseason run in program history, winning five games in the competition over Navy, Fordham, George Mason, Alabama and West Virginia.
It was the program's first 23-win season since 2003-04.
