Tech women's basketball signs four

BLACKSBURG, Va. - The Virginia Tech Athletics Department has announced the signing of women's basketball players Porshcia Hadley, Alyssa Fenyn, Abby Redick, and Aerial Wilson to national letters of intent for the 2008-2009 academic year.

“We are extremely excited with the quality of this year’s signing class,” said Virginia Tech head coach Beth Dunkenberger. “These four players bring a wealth of talent to our program. Alyssa and Aerial are both explosive guards who are proven scorers as they combined to average 48 points per game as high school juniors. Porschia is an athletic forward and is one of the most dynamic rebounders ever recruited to Virginia Tech. Abby’s versatility as a player and her keen basketball mind will help her bounce back from knee surgery. We expect her to be full strength by the time she arrives in Blacksburg.
