Could vie for the starting job at that position ... Never really got a chance to get acclimated at quarterback ... Was slowed by a sore knee and too much weight when he arrived in August ... Shortly after reporting underwent a tonsilectomy ... Was able to drop some weight and ended up quarterbacking the scout team while redshirting ... Excelled in strength and conditioning tests during early spring ... Was hampered by a sore knee once again during the first eight or nine practices in the spring ... Is big and strong ...
