WEYMOUTH, Mass. – The Hokies go two for two on the weekend with a 4-1 win over the Boston College Eagles on Sunday morning.
The Hokies were dominant in their second ACC win of the season.
In doubles, Tech grabbed all three courts. Mila Mulready and Linda Ziets-Segura were able to secure a 6-0 victory over Nadia Barteck and Muskan Mahajan of the Eagles. The duos of Charlotte Carteldge and Özlem Uslu and Arina Gamretkaia and Tara Gorinsek both secured 6-4 wins on their respective courts.
The story in singles was another strong display across the courts for the Hokies. After a quick sweep from Boston College on Court 2, Tech took ahold of the match, winning the next three points.
Uslu was the first Tech player to secure a win, with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Seren Agar. Laima Frosch followed it up with a three-set victory over Tola Glowacka 6-1, 4-6, 6-2. To clinch the match, Cartledge picked up a sweep over Nada Dimovska 7-5, 7-6(3).
Matches for Semra Aksu and Mila Mulready were both left unfinished as they battled in the third set.
