GREEN BAY, Wis. – Virginia Tech football cornerback Dorian Strong is headed to the Buffalo Bills after being selected No. 177 overall in the 6th round of the 2025 NFL Draft. 

Strong joins the Bills after starting 12 games in 2024, recording 32 tackles with 20 solo efforts and two interceptions en route to an All-ACC Honorable Mention. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound boundary corner also registered six pass breakups, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Across 408 coverage snaps, the rangy defensive bank closed the year with a 75.0 coverage grade by Pro Football Focus.

In 2023, the Upper Marlboro, Maryland native was named to the All-ACC Third Team and the Action Network Second Team All-American, as a defensive captain in Hokies’ secondary. Strong set career records for interceptions, return yards, and passes defended while starting all 13 games as a cornerback.  

He had an overall defensive rating of 81.6 as a redshirt junior, according to PFF. With a 27.3% completion rate and just 9 receptions on 33 targets across 677 snaps, the talented defensive back had an outstanding statistical season. Strong spent 15 snaps in the slot and 662 at cornerback, playing almost all of his snaps on the boundary.
