GREEN BAY, Wis. – Virginia Tech football running back Bhayshul Tuten is headed to the Jacksonville Jaguars after being selected No. 104 overall in the 4th round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Tuten brings his talents to the Jaguars after playing in 11 games, while making 10 starts. The 5-foot-11, 209 tailback eclipsed 100 rushing yards six times and set the Virginia Tech program record for single-game rushing yards (266) on Oct. 17 against Boston College, also registering four total touchdowns (three rushing).

Tuten’s 1,159 rushing yards ranked fourth in the ACC, and his 105.4 rushing yards per game was the conference’s second-highest average. Scoring 17 total TDs last season earned the senior All-ACC Second Team honors.

During the NFL Combine in late February, Tuten saw his draft stock skyrocket after an impressive showcase. Setting the standard, he recorded the fastest time of any running back, 4.32 seconds. The Paulsboro, New Jersey native was first among RBs with a vertical leap of 40.5" and his 10' 10" broad jump tied for second among RBs.

With 13 starts and 1,633 all-purpose yards in 2023, he led Tech in rushing yards. He found a whopping 654 of his rushing yards after contact, accounting for over 75% of his total running yards. Tuten also went over 100 yards four times, with his 136-yard effort in a rainy Military Bowl being his most notable performance.

Tuten also provides value as a kick returner on special teams. Taking on more kicking duties as a first-year Hokie, he returned 19 kickoffs for two touchdowns and 550 yards. Tuten demonstrated his explosiveness by scoring a kickoff return touchdown of 94 yards against Virginia and another of 99 yards against Florida State, making him one of five FBS players to record two or more kickoff return touchdowns.
