Hokie ClubQ: What's your major and why?
AM: Hospitality and Tourism Management. I chose this major at Virginia Tech because it is ranked a top program in the country and I really enjoy creating experiences for people.
Q: Where are you from?
AM: Fairfield, Connecticut.
Q: Why did you choose to attend Virginia Tech?
AM: I chose to attend Virginia Tech because of the community and the dedication to service throughout the student body.
Q: Favorite part about going to VT Athletic events?
AM: My favorite part about going to VT Athletic events is the environment and excitement. Everyone is always decked out in Virginia Tech merch and everyone is there to have a good time.
Q: Favorite Virginia Tech tradition?
AM: My favorite Virginia Tech tradition is either jumping for Enter Sandman (I know everyone probably says it, but it truly is an experience). I also really love our partnership with Smithfield Bacon. When you’re at a basketball game and you’re waiting for the other team to miss their second free-throw and they miss it, the crowd goes wild and it’s so much fun.
Q: Which Virginia Tech team do you follow the most and why?
AM: I probably follow Virginia Tech Men’s Basketball the most. I’ve always been a college basketball fan (grew up a Duke Blue Devil 😅) and I think that it’s awesome to not only watch them in Cassell, but I love turning on the TV and watching them while I do homework in my apartment.
Q: Favorite past or current Hokie athlete?
AM: My favorite Hokie athlete is Mekhi Lewis. Not only is he an amazing wrestler and national champion, but he also embodied the spirit of being a Hokie student. His commitment to Ut Prosim was remarkable.
Q: What’s your favorite Virginia Tech sports moment or game?
AM: My favorite Virginia Tech sports moment was our Football game in 2023 against UVA at UVA. We slammed them 55-17 and the Hokies showed out in Charlottesville. It was nice to see the community come together after their tragedy the year before.
