BLACKSBURG - Virginia Tech lacrosse captured the sixth victory of the 2025 season in a 9-7 victory over Mount Saint Mary's. The Hokies improve to 6-2 (1-1) this season while the Mountaineers fall to 3-3 (0-0).
Kate Elam, Kamryn Henson and Mia Pozzi led the Hokies on offense, tallying two goals apiece, with Elam's tying her career-high. Along with her two goals, Henson collected two assists to tie her season-high of four points.
Emma Rowland led defensively with her season-high three caused turnovers, with three additional Hokies tallying one apiece for the team total of six.
Pozzi , the midfielder, accumulated four draw controls to lead the team in the circle, which is a career-high for the sopohmore. Following her efforts was Maggie Flanagan, the freshman midfielder, with three.
The ground ball leaders stretched across three Hokies, with Zoe Stencil, Henson and Elam accumulating two each towards the team's total of nine.
Goalkeeper Aaliyah Jones captured her sixth win of the season in goal, securing nine saves against the Knights.
The Hokies collected nine goals, four assists, eight ground balls, nine draw controls and six caused turnovers in the victory.
