WEYMOUTH, Mass. – The Hokies took home a 5-2 victory over Boston College Sunday afternoon.
The squad finds themselves back in the win column with a full-team effort.
The Hokies took an early 1-0 lead by clinching the doubles point. Scott Sculley and Maxime St. Hilaire notched a 6-4 win to start things off. Down to Court No. 3, Victor Kimpel and Eyal Shumilov secured the doubles point in a tiebreaker, winning 7-6 (7-5).
Four Hokies secured singles victories. Alberto Orso and Patrik Jurina took the Hokies’ second and third points, 6-2, 6-4 and 6-4, 6-1, respectively.
Maxime St. Hilaire clinched the Hokies victory on Court No. 1, defeating his opponent 7-5, 6-2. Ilyas Fahim was also victorious, winning 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) to close out the match.
The Hokies return home Friday, March 21 as they host No. 9 Stanford.
