Garrow joins the Hokies as a forward from Roswell, Georgia. As a member of King Academy’s varsity squad, she is a three-time GAPPS All-State selection and was awarded the Team MVP award in 2022, 2023 and 2024. Garrow also played club soccer with Tophat 07 GA Navy and was selected to the Girls Academy Southeast Talent ID in 2022.

"We are very excited to add Anna to our program," head coach Chugger Adair said. "She is an athletic and dangerous forward who can create goals and score goals. She has a consistent mentality of playing offensive-minded soccer with pace, athleticism, and technical ability to create many chances for herself and our program. We can’t wait to have her with our group for the next four years."

Why did you choose Virginia Tech? As soon as I stepped foot on campus at Virginia Tech, it just felt right. I love the campus, the location, the high level of academic opportunity and the highly competitive soccer program.

What was your favorite thing about your visit? I loved getting to know the team. They support each other both on and off the field. They were so welcoming to me and the other commits on our visit. They treat each other like family, and I’m excited to be part of that.

What excites you the most about being part of Virginia Tech women’s soccer? I love the culture of the team and the coaching staff. The style of soccer they play is exactly the style I like playing. The team is driven and supportive of each other. I’m excited to compete in the ACC, and I’m looking forward to learning a lot from the coaches and the other players. I can’t wait to be part of such an amazing program.

What are some strengths of yours on the soccer field? I use my speed, unpredictability and both feet to score goals. I am a creative goal scorer, and I have good vision on the field, which allows me to create many goal-scoring chances for myself and my teammates.

Who is your favorite pro player and why? My favorite professional soccer player is Robert Lewandowski. I’ve watched him play for a long time and love the way he plays. I’ve learned a lot about goal scoring and attacking movement from him.

What do you plan on majoring in? I plan to major in either Exercise and Health Science or Environmental Science. Both of these areas and the career options interest me and give me opportunity to use my strengths.

What is one thing you want Virginia Tech fans to know about you? I discovered my love for soccer after getting kicked out of ballet when I was four years old. Outside of soccer, I love my family and friends, Jesus, any outdoor activity, music, and photography. I can’t wait to be part of this team!
