CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Belle Patrick, as annouced by the Atlantic Coast Conference on Monday, was tabbed to the 2024 ACC All-Freshman Team, following a standout first season with the Hokies.
Patrick, a 6'1" outside hitter from Cary, N.C., accumulated 281 kills, 24 aces, 165 digs and 38 total blocks in her freshman season. She reached career-highs of 17 kills, four aces, 14 digs, four total blocks and a .538 hitting percentage in her 104 sets played. Patrick was the most active freshman for the squad, seeing action in 29 matches with 24 starts.
The six-rotation player tallied double-digit kills in 14 matches and boasted four double-doubles, opening the seaon with back-to-back against WInthrop and UCF. She reached 100 career kills versus Chattanooga, 200 career kills versus ranked SMU and 100 career digs versus No. 1 Pitt.
Patrick is the first Hokie to be tabbed to the ACC All-Freshman team since Kaity Smith in 2017, and is the ninth in program history.
