BLACKSBURG – The eleventh week of NFL action wrapped up on Monday, marking the end of a week that saw eight of 14 games result in wins of ten points or fewer. Former Hokies took the field once more for their squads, demonstrating their skills on both offense and defense through four quarters. In this week’s edition of NFL Hokies, presented by Coca-Cola, we take a look at the most memorable performances from Hokie alumni in Week 11 and look ahead to the most exciting games in Week 12.

S Chamarri Conner
Kansas City Chiefs safety Chamarri Conner delivered a standout performance against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday afternoon. Over 53 snaps Conner recorded a team-high eight total tackles, seven of which were solo efforts, alongside a tackle for loss in the contest. The former Hokie also recorded an interception and a quarterback hit on Bills quarterback Josh Allen. While the Chiefs would go on to lose their first game of the season by a score of 30-21, Conner earned a personal season-high 74.2 pass rushing grade from Pro Football Focus and a 74.7 run defense grade. Conner’s 70.3 overall defense grade tied for fourth among defensive players.

S Chuck Clark
At home against the Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets safety Chuck Clark posted six total tackles, half of which were solo over the course of 69 snaps at strong safety. Sunday’s contest marked the return of the seven-year veteran, as an ankle injury had the former Hokie sidelined since Week 6 against the Bills. Clark will look to continue building on his season with New York in December as the Jets enter the bye week in Week 12.

LB Tremaine Edmunds
Linebacker Tremaine Edmunds welcomed longstanding division rival Green Bay Packers to Soldier Field on Sunday and performed well. The Hokie alumnus registered seven tackles, a total that was second highest amongst Bears defensive players. Edmunds has earned a reputation as a workhorse on the Bears defensive front, as the Danville, Virginia native has now played 100% of snaps in four consecutive contests and in eight of ten played games this season. While the game resulted in a heartbreaking field-goal block to end the matchup, Edmunds’s contributions were paramount in keeping the game close in what was a 20-19 loss.

DT Tim Settle
Against a Dallas Cowboys offense dealing with the absence of quarterback Dak Prescott, defensive tackle Tim Settle bolstered the Texans’ interior on Monday night. The former Hokie registered two tackles, both of which were solo and a tackle for loss, along with a sack. The sack was Settle’s fifth of the season and his fourth game with a sack this season. With the 34-10 win on Monday, the Texans are now 7-4 on the season and will look to win consecutive matches when the Tennessee Titans travel to Houston on Nov. 24.

K Joey Slye
After an impressive showing last week against the Chicago Bears, New England Patriots kicker Joey Slye continued his impressive stretch with a trio of field goals on Sunday. The Albuquerque, New Mexico native, who has now converted eight straight field goals dating back to Week 9, has contributed 28 points of offense over the last three games, a team high.

Notable Week 12 Matchups

New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins: Sunday, Nov. 24 at 1 p.m. ET on CBS
The Patriots will travel to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida for the second of two contests against the Dolphins on Sunday. The division rivals enter the game at less-than-optimal records, New England entering at 3-8 while an injury-plagued Dolphins team enters at 4-6. Look for Miami cornerback Kendall Fuller to return to game action after missing the Week 11 contest against the Las Vegas Raiders with a concussion.

Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears: Sunday, Nov. 24 at 1 p.m. ET on FOX
In a week that features seven division matchups, the Minnesota Vikings will travel to Soldier Field for a contest against the Caleb Williams-led Chicago Bears. The Vikings, who enter at 8-2 and second place in the NFC North, will compete against a 4-6 Bears team that has Hokie talent on the defense in linebacker Tremaine Edmunds. The Vikings will look to win their fourth straight against a Chicago squad that has done the opposite in losing four straight.
