MIAMI – CB Kendall Fuller and the Chiefs punched their ticket to Super Bowl LIV in Miami with a 35-24 win in the AFC Championship Game. Fuller and the rest of the squad arrived in South Florida on Sunday and participated in Super Bowl LIV Opening Night at Marlins Park on Monday evening, an event that is essentially a media availability and three-ring circus rolled into one.
The Chiefs are the home team for Sunday's game at Hard Rock Stadium and are practicing this week at the Miami Dolphins' practice facility in Davie, Florida. The team is headquartered at the JW Marriott in Aventura, Florida. Kansas City is playing in its first NFL title game in 50 years as the Chiefs will square off against the San Francisco 49ers for the Lombardi Trophy on February 2. Fuller becomes the 23rd Virginia Tech alum to reach the Super Bowl and the first member of the Fuller family to play for an NFL championship.

Fuller registered 49 tackles, two passes defended and 1.0 sack in the regular season after missing five games due to a broken thumb. However, he wasn't the only member of his family playing in the postseason. Chicago Bears cornerback Kyle Fuller msde his second straight trip to the Pro Bowl, representing the NFC in Orlando on Sunday, January 26. The elder Fuller is the first Tech alum to register consecutive Pro Bowl trips since S Kam Chancellor had a three-year Pro Bowl run following the 2013-15 seasons. Fuller led the Bears with three interceptions and 12 pass breakups and finished second with 82 tackles.
