Tech-Boise State game most watched ever on ESPN

ESPN’s Labor Day prime-time telecast of Boise State defeating Virginia Tech 33-30 averaged 7,252,000 households, making it the network’s most-viewed college football game ever – covering regular-season and bowl games – in households. In addition, this game ranked as ESPN's third highest-rated regular-season college football game since 1990 (as far as records go back) behind Florida State-Miami on 10/8/94 (7.67) and USC-Ohio State on 9/12/09 (7.33).
