Join us for a nostalgic weekend as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the legendary Virginia Tech Football 1999 Sugar Bowl Team! 
Registration includes access to all scheduled events. When you sign up, the weekend is all inclusive. Feel free to sign up for all events or just those that work for your schedule.

Friday, September 6

• Golf at The River Course
  • Join teammates for a round of golf at The River Course in Radford, only 12 miles from Virginia Tech’s campus. The course sits completely enclosed within a long bend of the New River. Twenty (20) spots have been reserved for the reunion weekend. Cost per person: $85
• VT Athletics Facility Tour
  • Take part in a staff-guided tour which includes the Merryman Athletics Center, Jamerson Athletics Center, Beamer-Lawson Indoor Practice Facility and Lane Stadium and Tunnel. 
• Dinner/Social at Eastern Divide Brewery
  • Enjoy complimentary food and drinks at The Eastern Divide Brewing Company (3175 Commerce Street, Blacksburg VA 24060). 

Saturday, September 7

• Reunion Tailgate
  • Enjoy complimentary food and drinks in the state-of-the-art Student-Athlete Performance Center (Jamerson Athletics Center). Open three hours prior to kick-off.
• Pre-Game Access 
  • Get an up close, pre-game experience as the Hokies prepare to take on Marshall.  One (1) pre-game pass will be provided to 1999 team member.
• Hokies vs. Marshall Football Game
  • Half-time recognition for 1999 team members only.

Room blocks for the weekend are below. Please note that the hotel rates are higher due to the Hokies home football weekend.

FAQs

When will I get more information about Reunion Weekend?
The reunion website will be updated with additional information throughout the summer. Event-specific updates (i.e. Golf at The River Course) will be sent via email leading up to the reunion weekend. 
 
Do I need to register in advance?
We want to this weekend to be a memorable experience! Advanced registration is required in order to assist the planning team in creating a great experience for all involved.
Early bird registration deadline – July 31, 2024
Regular registration deadline – August 15, 2024
 
How will I get my tickets/passes for the football game?
Each 1999 team member, coach and staff will receive two (2) complimentary tickets to the Virginia Tech vs. Marshall football game. During the registration process, please indicate the total number of preferred tickets for the game. We will follow up at a later date regarding information on additional requested tickets. 
 
Where can I park on campus?
Parking is available in Lot 1 (Pay to Park) and Lot 4 on Friday, September 7, 2024. On game day, parking will be available in a variety of locations across campus. Further information on parking and campus map.
 
Is the Alumni Reunion Weekend family friendly?
Yes! Several of the experiences are unique to the 1999 Team Members, but guests and families are welcome to join. We highly recommend stopping by Hokie Village prior to the football game for carnival games, snacks and music.

How will I know which of my classmates are attending?
Everyone who registers within approximately one week prior to the 25th Anniversary Weekend will have their names posted on the reunion website.

What should I wear?
Wear what is comfortable, and remember, you can’t go wrong with maroon and orange! Some events will be held outdoors, rain or shine, so consider packing rain gear as a precaution.
