HOKIES IN THE NBA DRAFT
Virginia Tech has produced 27 NBA Draft picks in program history, dating back to Chris Smith being selected by Syracuse in the second round in 1961.
In 2019, Nickeil Alexander-Walker became the Hokies' second-ever first round selection, going No. 17 to the Brooklyn Nets. Dell Curry was the first Tech athlete chosen in the first round of the NBA Draft when he was selected 15th overall by the Utah Jazz in 1986.
