The main objective of the Virginia Tech men's basketball strength and conditioning program is to reduce the risk and severity of injuries while maximizing on-court performance through a comprehensive, science-driven approach to athletic development.
Our training system is built on proven methods that include ground-based, multi-joint movements, high-velocity explosive exercises and the principles of muscular overload, periodization and specificity. Every aspect of our program is designed to prepare our athletes for the demands of elite basketball performance.
